Lauren Altschuler, founder of blue rooster Marketing, works with small to medium size businesses and nonprofits to save them time and money on marketing and to drive higher revenue. She works with a large network of subject matter experts and saves clients money by recommending solutions that fit their needs and budget.
After spending more than two decades in advertising sales and marketing, Lauren knows that building awareness, driving leads, and optimizing for conversions to increase revenue is not directly related to how much money you spend. It’s about finding the right solutions for your business, taking advantage of as many free options as possible, negotiating for the best value, and using part of your budget for testing, as technology is constantly changing.
Lauren is a fierce client advocate, saving clients time and money by being strategic and ensuring their marketing is continually working hard for them. She was able to negotiate ad rates up to 50% lower for a retail client by bridging the gap between what was important to the client and what was important to the media they were buying. She was able to drive thousands in sales for a medical device company by directing the right traffic to their website and showing them the campaign drove the sales by by putting tracking in place and paying attention to the data. In addition to her marketing experience, Lauren is classically trained in sales and leadership.
Lauren began her career running multi-million-dollar retail stores so successfully she was continually promoted to higher-volume stores and then to the corporate office where she ran the Sales Audit department. She then made a strategic switch to sales in the advertising industry. Working for the top radio rep firm Katz Radio, and then some of best media companies in the Twin Cities including Cumulus, Star Tribune, The Business Journal, Mpls.St.Paul Magazine and most recently for a start-up digital agency, she won multiple sales contests including for year over year sales increases, pre-selling large contracts and overall sales volume. She has led high performing teams and was consistently a top producer by understanding the client’s business and bringing solutions that worked.
Helping clients grow their business is in her DNA. Raised in a family of entrepreneurs, her Grandfather owned a Five and Dime and her Father was the founder of Altek Company in Connecticut. At the dinner table, talk centered around running their family-owned businesses and the importance of putting customer’s needs first. Today, she uses those lessons to help her clients.
